Would be hectic.

Do the rules allow for multiple passes to be used? I'm thinking of starting on the Lydenburg side of robbers, up and over, through pilgrim's and up the bonnet to the graskop road, turn around and back to the start. Repeat as needed.

"...you have to notch a minimum ascent of 8848 vertical metres, all in one continuous cycling effort.

The mountain or hill or “elevation” is entirely open to your choice, though the shallower the hill you choose the longer (distance) and more time it will take – choose a hill too gentle and you'll run out of time before needing to stop and/or sleep.

To claim your place in history, you also have to be the first cyclist known to have everested that particular hill or mountain."

Most efficient Everesting.

The least distance ridden to complete an Everest.

Rider: John van Seters

Route: Inver(dis)may Road, Monbulk, VIC, Australia

Distance: 114.8km

Average gradient of climb: 15.49%

I wonder who will be at Breedts this weekend to be the 1st to claim it for themselves  :whistling:

According to my garmin redhill is a 4.7km climb with a accent of +-245m say its takes 25min up and down that's about 15hours of riding and 36 attempts

Yes, so I'm still unclear as to if my route is acceptable?

You must pick a mountain as stated, don't think you can go ride e.g. four passes in the WC a few times and then claim all four passes (mountains) for yourselve.

Now I have this thing in the back of my mind the whole time... It doesn't want to go away.

Me thinks a team effort of crazies can pull this off. Way too many Ozzies that are beating us to this!!

Now to find the ideal ascent :whistling:

I think you have just the right Hub name to try it on Red Hill! ;)

I reckon the mast is a good one, not sure if it is allowed but you could do the first half on your MTB, then the last bit on your Road Bike....

Would it count if you go to harties, use the lift up and then just bomb down the DH track.. Rinse and repeat. Plus you get to say you did it on a DH bike.

You're too late, I'm pretty sure Omega Man has already done the "anti-Everesting" in Morzine. :D But yes, that would be more in line with my abilities! Descending Everest in 1 big go! The arms and hands are going to be toast though, no matter how good your brakes and suspension are.

According to their write up on the France thread, they covered 15km vertically in one day. So yup, I think they've got the Anti-Everesting thing down.
