Raydek Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Travelling from CPT, what would be the better route? Up N1 via Beaufort Wes or up the N2? Been given many vary opinions for both routes, so not sure which will be best...

Been given many vary opinions for both routes, so not sure which will be best... if you are not in a hurry https://goo.gl/maps/HGzya there are roadworks between PE and Kingwilliamstown on the N2, best bet to take the R72 after Nanaga. the road isn't in the best of condition after Port Alfred so take it slow.

Maybe on the way back...
Selous Scout (aka LegTrap) Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 If you coming from Cape Town you won't pass through King Williams Town.I just travelled back from CT to PE on the N2 and it was fine, probably a bit quieter through Oudtshoorn etc ie using the N2 then cutting down.

The N2 from PE to KWT is crap
