It's not about how often you fall... it's about whether or not you get up and try again after..

...or some deep philosophical nonsense like that, hahaha!

But check this out! Makes me think about how pansy we sometimes are when we skin our knee and call and end to our rides

I fall on every ride too.. Even after a year. But every fall decreases confidence levels.. :(

OP, what bike you riding ?

Just upgraded from an entry level HT to a Stumpy ST, I am already faster  through most areas but of course still falling

I have to say that I am pushing my limits and learning, I am by no means riding like a beginner but there is alot to learn and I think the biggest problem is taking all the advice and putting it into practice.

The looking ahead is something I have taught people in beginner Motorcycle riding school but it is concentration and fatigue that makes that difficult to maintain, maybe just need to trust my instincts more.

If I was fixating or not looking up I would probably fall anyway so I may as well look up or further and take the chance.

Went over my bars at northerns this morning. I don't know what I did wrong.

I tried to go harder over the bump, didn't nail the landing and the turn, went wide and got wheel stuck and next thing I'm a tangle on the trail. :(

I was falling very often when I had a 26" alu bike. Changed to a way better bike, 29er, carbon frame...not going to mention any makes here as the point I want to make is that it might be the bike to blame. It was like the falling was dramatically reduced when I started riding my "better" bike. Fact is I almost completely stopped falling. There is definitely a million other factors but in my case the bike made a world of difference.

Don't think I'll get up after a fall like that. Even if a I am alive, I'll be to scared to move. :cursing:

We at the doctor at the moment to re-asess as the wound is not healing as it should, might go into theathre

Very similar to your experience.

Just saw the doc and shes going into surgery shortly to re-asess, clean up and drain the wound.

No rainbow challenge for her, or any riding for 6 weeks.
