Singlespeed SA's..The sound of music, who is in

We are there as we are hosting. Entered last week.

Plus Boven trails are such a jol that few people are aware of. I don't know how Glenn manages to create brilliant trails with no hectic climbs but awesome descents - and only a handful of riders use every month.

Jirre - R495 for an entry...

That's hectic for something that's supposed to be ad-hoc.

Just saying. I was keen until I saw that. Ack.

Not sure what you mean by "Ad hoc"?

(I know what the phrase means)

Just entered - really looking forward to this.

And as for people complaining about the entry fee - seriously? Do you think the organisers just have to set up the online entries and then they'll just arrive on the Friday like the rest of us and the event will just happen? Or that maybe there are hours and hours of hard work and organising (and related costs) that take place in the months ahead of the event?

I disagree.

This is definitely not a money spinning event. Prices have been worked out to breakeven and that is exactly what is happening. All the organisers are paying FULL ENTRY!! Where else do you hear about that?

Unfortunately everything costs from venue, trails, medics from Nelspruit, food, alcohol, music etc etc

Don't forget that this is a unique event only drawing true singlespeeders or people for the party. No serious Strava junkie will be present, neither will the masses. This event caters for the minority therefore one is recovering costs over a smaller target market than your normal mass appeal event.

Leaving at lunch tomorrow, can't wait! Have two possible outfits, both open to misinterpretation, and a third that's guaranteed to offend.
