You make me laugh, that Aprilia is very special. Unfortunately today I suffered a serious theft from my house, fortunately the Missus is okay but I will need to reassess my bike buying as honestly it has become a bit of an unimportant part of my life for the mo….

Just happy to hear that Mrs Spokey is ok!

Once again guys, thank you for the messages of support/ encouragement. The saddest thing of all is the reality check that our peaceful little corner of the world is going to have to become as secure as we had years ago in Josie. It is a simple and unfortunate truth that we have a huge disparity in SA with income. Huge unemployment in my area and well…..the walls get higher. I am now installing a very sophisticated security system involving alarms, beams and cameras…….So, horse…..stable door….bolted, absolutely, but at least I will be able to monitor and control from wherever I am in the world.

Perhaps there will be enough Randellas left to add the small TRX to the collection….mmmm!

Thanks again

Anyone got good tips for staying warm on the bike? This is the first Cape winter I will be commuting by bike.

As the mornings have been getting colder with winter approaching, I’m looking for some advice.

Those thin cycling windbreaker tops are lightweight and very effective under your bike jacket. They normally blue, yellow or green

Decathlon sells some nice thermal vests.  They are nice and thin and allow breathing but are also really really warm.

Mechanic still off sick ... hopefully he will be back in the workshop tomorrow or Thursday ... so let's assume my bike is the least of his worries when getting back to work, then assume a end of next week or next Sat. morning to get the bike.
