Seems to be the going rate yes. Lots of low mileage examples around. That one is neat.

You do need to check them well though, lots of beginners start on them so I have seen a few now with damage from small fall overs.

Looks like a bike people move upwards from fairly quickly.

Bigger is better and all.......

Gee, and to think, I sold (traded in for a 790 Duke) mine for R35k and it only had 6000km on it! Didn't realize these 390's are so sought after.

How did she treat you?

I had zero issues in the two years that I owned the 390. Had fun times on it. However, like most smaller displacement bikes, after a while you're longing for something with a little more 'giddy-up-and-go'.

The 790, for my use, is the ultimate bike (I don't ride all that often, due to working out of country, so it still puts a massive smile on my face every time I start it!)

Are you that one guy who really works on an oil rig and your cousin is honestly coming to pick up the bike or bicycle that you are buying on line!

Haha, almost! My 'cousin' is generally only replaced by my brother or a good mate and I don't know how to use Paypal!

Harley-PanAmerica-Adventure-Tourer_India

I like it, i like what harley are doing here and the marketing is uber slick...i want to be like kahl drogo and ride a pan america. Lots of clever tech in it too and reasonably priced.  I think it will do well. But more importantly is that motor..150 horses is fantastic and harley are going to use that motor in many models. its potentially a peach. I know Harley had a prototype called Bronx,,,think this motor would be brilliant in a bike like that , Bronx was shelved but hope its brought back in some format

On another note, busy reading Barry Sheen 1950 - 2003. A biography of when men were men. He came back from horrific injuries in double quick time, smoked 60 a day and even drilled a hole in his helmet so he could have a fag on the grid. men were men in em days.

Look, it aint hte pinnacle of beuaty, not by a long shot .  :whistling:  but as a package and its intention i do like it. Full of trickery and by the looks of it a viable alternative to the GS brigade which number in their zillions here.

Marketing is definitely something they have done right. Like what other brands can anyone think of with such a diverse cult following. From gang leaders and thugs to middle aged dentists and lawyers to hipsters and everyone in between.

Harleys are massive here in NZ. Indian has been trying hard to lure some of the Harley loyals over. Their TV ads contain phrases like "be original" and "think for yourself" etc. But they don't seem to sway too many minds.

One thing though, if you are going to get a Harley and bling the hell outta it, you better be a dentist or a lawyer otherwise the tax man and police might discover that you're a drug dealer/gang leader

1561711857666.jpg This bike belonged to the leader of one of the NZ's 3 big gangs (or "motorcycle clubs" as they prefer to be called). Gold plated. His lifestyle drew attention to him and he recently got busted.

He also happens to look a little like Karl Drogo, hahaha
