I won't be supporting them again. Will ride, but I'm taking my own refreshments with for after the ride.

Poor form on Heia's part and their loss now too!

Glad you'll still be supporting Hero by riding the trails

I am correct that there are no shower facilities at this stage? or a bike wash?

Would be a nice convenience to have...

Go for a swim... Hehehehe.

Guys just watch out, some broken green bottle on the blue route about 200m before you get to the floating bridge dam and the newly developed piece of trail. I will send Hero a Facebook message about it as well.

Does anyone know if its ok to put "I was obeying Rule No 5" on a medical aid form after "it all goes wrong"?

It couldn't have been more than one or two bottles. But they were shattered into small pieces...

However. The park replied to my Facebook message last night, and are going to clear it this morning.

You know what would have been cooler?

If you stopped and kicked it to the side of the trail for everyone and then informed them (Heiea)  ;)

That would have ROCKED!! just saying :)

You would need to ride all the trails twice or three times.

I would recommend cycling Avianto all trails, then take the MTB cradle route to Heia safari and then do all the trails there.

Did all three trails on Saturday. The berms on the blue route seem to be forming a definite line that is free of quarts marbles. The new berms just below the dam are also starting to get lekker fast. Have any of you hit that gap jump just above the dam on the blue route? I'm dying to give it a go but I want to follow someone in to get an idea of speed requirements.

I have, with dire consequences.....

The grass was long, it was my first ride at the park, and I had no idea it was a gap. I thought it was a steep down, so entering I shook off a lot of speed, rolled down but when hit the bottom the bike stopped instantly, smashing my crotch into the back of the seat. I somehow managed to still pull up, and ride up the other side. stopped, got off my bike to inspect the damage.

No more ride, as I limped back to the car.

This was the result:

Did not take a photograph of my nether regions, but it was bruised...lots

Keen to give it a go again....
