Who else is sick at the moment?

Been hit by the flu on Wed. Still feeling like a truck ran over me. Resting HR is high, NAFI like you wont believe and constant sinus headache.

Will check tomorrow how I feel, hate going to the Dr for flu.

Been fighting an influenza (not a head cold) since Tuesday morning. Tuesday I thought my legs were exploding when I went for a run, but blamed an up shift in distance.

Wednesday evening it was clear something more is going wrong. Dosed myself with all kinds of stuff, but Friday I had to give up the fight. Even wearing a wind breaker jacket to work . Stayed at home. Saturday I was man down. Slept more than anything else.

 

Today I am feeling semi human again. Still have a cough. Will see how the cold aircon at work makes me feel tomorrow

 

Hope to be back on the bike with low intensity training by Wednesday on the latest. Will most likely dress like a Eskimo looking for a polar bear

Just came from the Dr. booked off for the rest of the week with flu. Bed rest and lots of clear liquids.

Had to go back to the doc today. Upgraded the meds to include antibiotics. No rest, no time off. Barking at work is my destiny

As usual I received mails that the co-owner scheduled work for me, without regard to the Dr's note.

 

But there is no way I am fit for work. Running one bad ass fever. Last night shivered in bed for 20 minutes. Wife wanted to take me to hospital.

 

Even my appetite has gone missing somewhere.

Unlike "a Cold" - (which many South Africans refer to as "The Flu"), proper Flu deserves some respect.

 

I only ever had proper Flu once and you certainly know you have it when you've got it. Knocked me flat for a week. I think I lost about 5 kg's.

Got some strange lurgy...swollen glands muscle aches, stiff neck with bouts of the runs...been trying to shake it for 3 weeks riding on flats fine but as soon as i hit a climb...boy o boy legs seize up and sweat like crazy ...on antibiotics anti inflammatories and waiting on the tests to see if its lyme disease.

There might be something wrong with your gut bacteria, and a more natural remedy might work better than the probiotic pills.

100's you right mine was more a cold than flu, looks like a dodged that bullet for a while.
