They use national seeding - which is what PPA uses for their seeding system. So may not be PPA races perse but all timed races go into the database (as far as I know)

What national seeding index? Thought that was dropped a while ago.

I have great Pedalpower seeding, thats why I dont understand how they calculated it. This is my first Burger, so maybe thats why.

I think there is zero logic applied to seeding. In last seeding group and have a decent PPA seeding. Maybe they check strava :P

How else do you think they seed Elite riders. I just can't find where I used to find out what my seeding was. There was a link on the old cyclelab site.

They just use racetec database, they time alot more than ppa events.

I have no chance of catching you starting in K. Like I said, not going to let it spoil my fun, weather looks good, heard some good things about the new routes. All it means is that I will only get to have my post race beer long after you guys. That break my heart.

I was dumped in the last group for the 42km last year. My mates were a couple of groups ahead of me. Decided just to enjoy it, when the gun went off my legs took over and the race was on. Did a faster time than them. Had to get off the bike just before the top of Helshoogte as 2 guys were taking pics with their Tablett, nogals in the fast lane.(right side of the track). :cursing: Was lekkker de moer in. Had to walk up the 30 or so meters.

Point is J B, you can still have a fast time from behind.   Carma will get you to the end, you determine your own pace. Good luck.

All the Elite riders start in one group and technically you don't really need to be Elite to get into that group (unless my invitation was a big fluke)

I really don't think Amarider use a sophisticated seeding system.

Dont they also take the Argus mtb into account?.

J seeding for the 42... - I'm definitely no race snake so may be a bit out of my depth here... Did the 42 last year with a K seeding and managed a rather average time - who knows how they get to these seedings??!

I'm with Wannabe on the doing-my-best-and-soaking-up-the-view-and-vibe thing (and b.t.w. also wished we had a clear view on the Bastille!)

Last year the groups were numbered differently. This year the 50km got the 42km group starting seedings. Like Wannabee said, lets just go and enjoy ourselves. My first time on the 60km, hope its a good one. :w00t:
