Watched Spectre last night. Disappointed in the plot/screenwriting. It seems that the movie is torn between universe-building and Sam Mendes' homage to Bond films of yore.

Waltz was absolutely wasted in this film.

To date, the best Bond film remains Casino Royale.

Anyone seen " Ex Mechina"?

Beautiful production, its story of andriods who want more life .....

Def. addition to my ScFi collection, although I don't believe things will quite pan out this way with AI

ps heard there is sequel to Bladerunner in the mix ....

Yeah, very intriguing

What an ending hey

Really a twist in the tail there

"Love (2015)" was auto-downloaded by CouchPotato... *Pinky Promise*

Had to move it out of the movie folder... the entwined start might (might!?) not be suitable for the young teenager in the house

I wonder where that will go...

Sometimes I think Ridley Scott should let just go of some old projects.

Blade Runner is complete enough already because of the ambiguity of its ending/s.

we are halfway through with my daughter...I told her we didnt have to watch episode 1 because it is not necessary in the greater scheme of things (unless you believe anacin was miraculously conceived)...but my daughter insisted she had to watch them all.....eventually after about 3/4 we started fast forwarding cos it really is ***

He was conceived via Darth Plagueis and his manipulation of the force and midi-chlorians. It's quite well documented...

I wonder, .... don't think it will be  case of stretching out that story through,  even though one replicant did get away.

So.. I have just watched room.. It was OK.. Could have been done better but captivating enough. The little kid was superb.. A standout performance in my book.. If a kid has that sense of character development at that age then he is a name to look out for. As for brie Larson...I think she is superb and very shrewd in the roles she picks (there are always exceptions of course)... She was good and I think she did the best with what she had to work with.. But Oscar worthy... I'm not sure. What riles me is that short term 12 she was absolutely superb as was Mr robot guy (I forget his name)... And the movie was brilliant.. But not one nomination.. That's why Oscars suck piles

had a little oscars weekend this weekend as a result of some flu...so thoughts on Room above..

Revenant...2.5 hours of revenge with lots of grunting...but..it was captivating...and ol leonardo did ok..if he wins an oscar then I wont say he didn't deserve it...I doubt Eddie Redmayne will get back to back...but word on the street is he deserves it..still need to see the danish girl.

also watched the big short which was ok...but hardly worthy of a best film

The Oscars are a sham.

Matt Damon being nominated for the Martian?! What the hell? He gave a good performance, but not Oscar worthy by any stretch of the imagination.
