Craig Stubbs Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Both Knee Guards and Elbow Guards looked like this. Thats a 4 roastie saver!
Slowbee Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 The wife wants to do more adventurous type rides, but is always nervous of falling. At sani2c last yr saw a couple riding, the both had light weight knee protectors on, especially for the odd rocky section or tricky section. They said just helped them from scrapes and bumps from lie downs* and also gave them a sense of security to take on more than they would without them. So just looking into options. *a fall and a lie down are 2 vastly different things.

I use the ixs daggers, which have been faultless but they're overkill for xc- the ixs flow may be what you're after http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/helmets-and-protection/knee-pads/product/review-ixs-flow-kneepads-13-47883/

cadenceblur Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 A buddy just bought a pair of these today, will see how they go. I'm pretty happy with my six six one rage pads at the moment. I just find I'm that much more confident when I've got protection.

I've got the 3DF knee and elbows and am very happy. Super comfy on long rides and do their job well on impacts. That 3DF foam is awesome!! Do you have the Leatt Knee Guard 3DF Hybrid's yet B? Def keen on a pair for the gnarlier rides and to rock out for Enduros and Downhill days... I won't lie, the blue also goes awesomely matchy, matchy with the Slayer
Guest Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Very cool Yep there is stock Will confirm colour options tomorrow

Dirkitech Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Helmet and brain. Sometimes by brain runs out of oxygen and I make stupid mistakes. I would suggest, for a beginner to get some of the G-form products, great for cycling. and gloves - gravel rash on the hands aint nice at all.you would suggest a beginner to invest R700 or R1500 per G-form product? That doesn't make sense
BaltazarMarques Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 you would suggest a beginner to invest R700 or R1500 per G-form product? That doesn't make senseI find G-Form totally overpriced for the "protection" it affords. There are much better products for around the same price or less. Problem is a lot of shops don't stock a wide range of protective products and uninformed riders wanting to buy protection will walk in and go for the g-forms as they are usually stocked at the more mainstream stores. Edit: Not hating on G-Form, just personally I think they need to look at their pricing to protection value. If they were cheaper, then I'd say go for it, but for now, there's other products that do much better for the price.
Amberdrake Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Must say the leatt stuff looks incredible! I currently wear some hardshell 661 rage i think elbows. And have some raceface hardshell knee's but the knees are just too uncomfortable without long baggies. Might have to buy some leatt pads. Leatt Knee Guard 3DF Hybrid looks awesome. I have actualy held and fitted these and they looked and felt good.
BaltazarMarques Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Actually thinking of rather going with the Leatt Knee Guard 3DF Hybrid EXT's as they have full shin coverage. Price isn't that much more either.
RocknRolla Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 you would suggest a beginner to invest R700 or R1500 per G-form product? That doesn't make senseYes, suggest. Not instruct.
