I tried 29" front and 26"back some time ago, my idea was accelerate like a 26" and descent like a 29" ...

 

Did not really work.

 

but 29 - 27,5 might...

There was a thread like this not too long ago, including pictures. Apparently motocross (Or it could have been ENDURO motor bikes) have smaller rear wheels?

you might slap your pedals more often on rocks as the BB height will drop a little

 

Dropping the BB height could be a good thing depending on the current height.

 

It will also slacken your headangle and seattube angle with the equivalent effect of putting a 20mm longer fork on the front

Yea that's what I thought would happen,will have to check the bb as well
