Hi Tubed

Science to Sport stopped working with Travis after the World Championships last year.

He will be removed from our website shortly. This was an oversight on my part.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Cheers

Ben

All good Ben - I thought that might be the case.

As an aside I was dropped by one of your lady athletes the other day - had me wondering if I should sign up.Truth be told, I would be better trying to emulate the retreaded prop in your team - now there's an athlete I can seriously respect - love watching him suffer.

The big guy sure can ride a bike.

Although some do find it slightly off-putting when he starts to bark.

You never see Khulubuse Zuma and Nolan in the same room at the same time, just saying....

That's because Zuma blocks all available light he is so wide...

So is the returned doper on or off the testo this time round?

And what's in the fridge?

And was the testo in his system 'that' time really from Nebido? Or was Nebido a cover for something a little more spicy?

Seen the British doctor? Almost anyone can find a compliant doctor who will help confirm your 'androgen deficiency syndrome'. Hell, I was offered help for the Epic when I got my medical certificate.

I declined, of course, and couldn't crack the top 30 :P

Why is only the MTB races banning the dopers and not the road races?

I guess it depends on UCI and WADA and IOC governance, and the likelyhood of a CAS challenge.

Internationally it's very difficult (legally) to implement a lifetime ban.

The only MTB discipline that's IOC is XCO.  The only road race that doesn't care about UCI rules is the Argus.

You as a cyclists can play a huge part In discouraging dopers returning to racing in SA:

  1. Don't enter ANY event that allows the return of any rider sanctioned in the past for using PEDs.
  2. Put pressure on the event sponsors.
  3. Encourage ALL your friends and fellow cyclists to do the same.

Don't just wait for the UCI, WADA or IOC governance to implement lifetime bans.

For us roadies , we only have about 2 events a year organized by people capable of getting water to a water table on race day. We can't afford to boycott any events.

Try it and make a noise about it, you might be surpised at the outcome.

The last few busts have been MTBers, this came at a time where people are saying enough is enough. Its also a much bigger industry in SA at the momement.

Saying what about Nolan is like saying what about David George.... nobody really cares anymore, other "villians" have come to our attention now and are drawing the negative attention.

Having said that, if a roadie got busted now, I am pretty sure there would a similar reaction with road events like what we are seeing with the MTBers taking a stance.

I really hope this doesnt happen as the last thing the frail roadie scene needs right now is sponsors pulling out.

Correct. The road set up can't handle any drops in numbers at the moment. It is fragile indeed.

Can't say I agree with this. Not a big fan of this mob justice mentality.

Boycotting and badmouthing event organisers & sponsors who are contributing to our sport and have done nothing wrong themselves is almost as unethical in my view. They are not the ones breaking any rules.
