Quincy, sorry not hotties with warm hands.. they have a device that is made with memory padding, then once you get off they use a built in ruler to measure the distance your sit bones are apart.

That's pretty cool, thanks.

Yep works like a charm....according to the ass-o-meter I have polisie perd rear end....155mm. Never looked back, the 143 was never comfortable....and lets not go into my adventures with a gobi.

post-58906-0-67600300-1409724630_thumb.jpgAs said before by most of the guys a saddle is personal, just the same as some guys like blondes and some like brunettes. Looks like ill be the first here to say Im a selle fan. I Have 3 selle (road bike, 29er and tandem) and I also have a speciazlized on my 26er. My latest upgrade to my road bike is the selle SLR weighting in at 123.25 grams(similar to a bag of chips) The spez is a very nice saddle and as a few have said you can test them before.

+2 on the SLR carbon. 119g and ridden on hardtail (including j2c) and dual sus (including many stage races and trans baviaans) mtb for years. Its a hard saddle, but I find it very comfy.

It might not be fore everyone because of its hardness.

I got mine for R1100 off CRC a few years ago. With specials and shopping around, I think you can still get it for under R1500.

Very interesting about the all the Spez saddle positive suggestions.

I had major issues with my ass and after bike ft after bike fit and years of cycling with pain after 1.5 hrs in saddle I approached Jeroen Swart about it. In short he suggested Spez saddle and doing assometer. I did this and settled with spez phenom did Epic 4 weeks later twas perfect. have never looked back actually got one on my road bike too.

Are you riding a wilier? Also check its wide/narrow enough for you. If possible find someone locally that has one and check it out before buying.

No, its for MTB, that's why I was wondering if it will work, its a bout the same as the Tandra 2 so size is ok.

San Marco have always been a well known brand of saddle so I'm sure its decent quality. I personally have never ridden one. Price looks good. Good luck with the buy, I'm sure you'll come right.
