For a while now specially over weekends I noticed when trying to upload files from my device that the website has all kinds of problems. I sometimes struggle to just log in. Well today I get to various stages of the upload process but can not seem to finish the upload. Then from time to time I also get a message that say they are busy working on the website.

 

I've used different browsers and computers. I have tried my home network and from work. This is clearly a Bryton problem and not mine.

 

Does anyone else have the same problems. I seems to be getting worse as time goes on.

 

There is a work around to get the data directly on Strava by first exporting the data to a GPX file. But why the hell is brytonsport.com not working.

Get a garmin edge 500...sell the bryton. You won't look back.

I had the same problems...irritated the crap out of me. In the end I gave up and bought a garmin 510. Best thing I ever did. There is nothing wrong with Brytons product but the software sucks. Now I get home from a ride, press the save button, the thing has already communicated with my phone and boom the ride is in strava, no wires. No irritation..

Why you uploading to brytonsport though?

 

I upload direct to strava, or whatever im using...

 

With what device. I have the Rider 21. I have to use bryton bridge or the website. Bridge only saves the file in a format that I can later upload to strava.

 

Unless I'm missing something.

Yeah thats what i do, download the file using bryton bridge and upload to Strava.

 

Much less hassle than that crap site.

I have to agree. The Bryton itself works like a charm but the software sucks. There was talk of a Bryton android app but nothing yet.

I also after losing a few rides due to the device resetting had to take off the cadence/speed sensor as it made the device reset in rough terrain where the sensors got struck by rocks. After taking those off it never happened again.

 

It never happened on tar or gravel roads.

been answered..save the file to tcx from that bryton bridge app and then upload to strava. I gave up with the bryton website. they lost all my data and when i tried to engage them to get it back they basically just ignored me - fortunately I had already being synchronising with strava

 

I have been more than happy with the actual device. I bought a rider 21 4 years ago and the battery is still good and it is still in perfect condition (although I do keep it in a little plastic ziploc bag while on my bike)...as for the backend....hopeless

Go and do a search on Bryton on thehub, there has been numerous complaint in the past about there products and service.

 

This is the reason I will never buy a Bryton and always ignore them in the classifieds section

Hi Guys

The BrytonSport page has had a few gremlins over the last week as the final testing is being done for the Bryton Mobile App, and a few new features they are adding so you are correct about the maintenance on the site. If you have any issues please send a mail to Terence@bbtrading.co.za and I will see what we can do to help, the same applies to problems on the units.
