No I dont, but when I am motor racing I greet the other racers that I see as my community just like I do when I cycle,

That actually nails it, couldn't say it better than that. It's a matter if acknowledging your community or the people you perceive to be in it.

Sure.... you forgot the part about ladies squirting water from their bottles on them selves because it is so hot......dream on. :P

The only time that white kit is acceptable.....

Cause I will bankrupt myself in the process and the person receiving the help will learn nada.

Tough love.

Guess I don't need to hurry along to 1000 comments then!

What about the fact that no matter how many times you watch a video or clip on how to change/plug a tube/snotplug/chainlink, until you put it into practice a few times it is actually a little difficult. You may not be sure if you are doing it right. eg using a bomb and connector for the first time? It would be nice to have the offer that's all, and it costs you nothing.

Next time I am out I suppose I will first ask your Hub name, "sorry are you Rouxjie, oh ok nevermind", ride on. :whistling:

Blondie, I won't lie, a girl that can wrench on her bike is moer hot. The thing in jozi is that its dangerous everywhere, hence the rule about always stopping for ladies.

Ok I was kind of warming to the idea of a little tough love but you blew it with this. Surely a guy is as much at risk as a girl on the side of the road, especially in Jozi.

I have been robbed on the side of the road and it is not cool.

Last puncture I got, in Woodstock, I was really nervous and took twice as long to change the tube as I was looking up more than down and fumbled around stupidly trying to rush the job before some opportunist came along to relieve me of some ride along goodies and/or the roller itself.

With Spinnekop on this.  I greet whoever is on a bike.  Even the gardener on his buggered up dikwiel.  I will also help anyone where possible with technical problems.

What I don't do is develop an issue if someone does not greet me back. I am sure I might have missed a few oaks to greet them if my thoughts were somewhere else at that moment or concentrating on traffic.

To come to the hub and whine about it is just really silly.  Build a bridge and get over it. You should ride your bike harder.

You learn by doing, not by watching...true story.

OH and BS on the costing you nothing part...it always costs you bombs / tjoobs / sealant / chainlinks / plugs

Don't sweat stopping for me mnr, like I said before, I dont expect anyone and I am not a lady so off you go. I will sort myself out.

I am sure being robbed sucked...but again what would another person have mattered ito being robbed. Might even be more incentive for the scum to hit you...you know two for the price of one.

I am not worried about ladies being robbed...I am worried about them being done other things to. That is the reason why I will always stop for them. That is the risk I want to avoid.
