Hi boys and girls,

I want to make my crankset look good again as i don't want to spend thousands on new crankset, i have had a chainring replacement end last year but my cranks has seen better days (i love them to bits) and want to re anodize them...

Do any of you know where this can be done for a reasonable price or have done this before?

Any advice would be appreciated !!

Happy riding... the season is upon us!

You can't anodize it. The caustic and other chemicals they dip the ally into during the process destroys any steel. The spindle and the chain guide pins on most blades are all steel. Test it by taking a magnet and touching all the components of the crank. If it 'sticks' to any of the parts that can't be removed from one another, then you can't anodize.

He is referring to BogusOne. He is a member of thehub. He did a X9 crank for me. Can't believe it was the same crank when I received it back.
