i don't have an opinion of Cajees Fourways, but for a first post spurting out all of this... that's just bad taste bro.  if they've done you in its one thing to go on-line and cry a river, but from all I could tell you are just complaining cause you didn't get good service...  should I remind you that we live in SA and mediocrity is the norm?  When last did somebody in the P&P run up to you and point out the correct isle to buy your tampons???

I've never bought from a Cajees and most likely never will, but they are a cheap "retail type" of bike shop and nobody goes there to be assisted by the best bike mechanic in SA.  When i recently shopped for a bike they were R9k cheaper on a Giant Trance Advanced than any other shop I could find in Joburg AND they were willing to get it on the floor for me to test drive...  Had I opted for the Trance I would have bought it there though.

I go to Princess Crossing every now and then.  Service is as the wind blows, some days great some days crap.........odd thing is they will always barter which does not make them all that bad

The guys at P&P don't get commission for selling you tampons dude...

why does the seller's commission come into this?  i'm just saying that complaining about cajees an not about P&P makes no sense.  both shops have a "walk in and pick what you like" setup, yet the one is fine and the other not?

same with the theft thing, builders warehouse checks your slip when you leave the door, but now all of a sudden there is a problem with cajees doing the same thing?

not saying they treated the OP right, but they do not seem different to any other shop i've recently been to...

There is one close to where I work

Just bought a Tjoob (Road bike) for R100, expensive?

Kindly learn your prices and stop feeding the Cajees trolls- I'd be really ticked off if they somehow manage to open more branches and waste otherwise usable space.

As the guy mentioned in his first post- the clown asking to check his bag said "Yes, I do." when OP asked if they suspect him of teasing. No idea if they said it jokingly, but I can just imagine that it wasn't from my experience with cajees.

Also, PnP was just an example. As utterly pathetic PnP is, they still refund you twice the difference if they make a mistake with pricing- whether you paid more or less, you get the money. cajees on the other hand, just wants money. Sometimes they will take less, but usually they wan't our money and your life savings.

Point is, cajees are bad news. Stay away. Even if you bought that whatever bike you mentioned- had something go wrong, the store has a reputation of being unpredictable and you may or may not have managed to return it on warranty. PS, thats an example.

I think the service is a joke at all of their branches.

Unfortunately when someone is thinking of taking up cycling and doesn't know any better it is very easy to walk into the bike shop with the biggest sign board.

They caught me when i first started by charging me R1000 to top up the sealant in my tyres.

I walked into the little falls branch out of boredom  a few weeks ago because my girlfriend was shopping next door and I was shocked to see the prices they are charging people, pure robbery

Did you have a cigarette after getting screwed like that?

It's difficult to say which bike shop is the best but it's really easy to say which are the worst. Shops that specialise in, and cater for the needs of a specific market need to be exactly that, specialists. Those guys know jack about bicycles or cycling. If I didn't want service and was purely buying based on price I'd shop online so I still don't understand what gap in the market they're trying to fill? I'm surprised the gap is big enough for them to still be open actually.

I disagree with you.

The wekas at P&P aren't there to assist you, they are there to cleanup isle 9 or to pack the shelves...

The guys at Cajees are specifically there to assist shoppers...

Your argument is invalid.

Great prices, plenty stock and they help to keep other shops honest.

Dunno why everyone is moaning about them, don't like them , don't shop there. Will be interesting to see how many Giants and Scotts were bought from them.
