Also waiting it out for a frame and shifters... looking at that mountain of parcels, even when the strike is over could still take weeks to get delivered !!

So, what alternatives besides couriers are there? There's some stuff being sold in the classifieds that i want in JHB. The cost of the items isn't very high and normal courier company costs make it not worth it. I also have some stuff I want to sell, but once again the courier costs might put off potential buyers compared to what it costs via post office.

Postnet couriers are R99 up to 5kg.2 - 3 days delivery

Went to post box this morning, nothing!!

 

Still waiting for my frame from China.. sent end of Sept and other components from Merlin cycles send early October

 

Tracking say both are still at JIMC

I got my deliveries last week... and have since ordered some more things online so hoping they don't get held up too long.

 

When i was picking up my parcels at cape mail i was told there was 16 million parcels sitting in the Jhb, Cpt and Durban mail centres / airport storage hangers. The lady also unhappily said it looks like they will be working on weekends and with extended hours on weekdays to try and catch up
