Conti Pure Grip tyres?

Just a quick question to those out there using the Conti tyres.

How are the "Pure Grip" Tyres as tubeless?

I see they state tubeless ready, but how are the side walls? don't want something with side walls that are going to be a pain.

Also how wide are the tyres in comparison to other brands? would a 2.4 be too wide for a Rockshox Reba or SID?

Thanks in advance for any help

bump, I'm interested in this as well. I don't think you get the PureGrip with Protection, but I've personally never had an issue with tyres that have paper thin sidewalls, so keen to try these out.

I see on buycycling the price is really good!! I see the Protection has 240tpi and the pure grip has 180tpi. The pure grip is also abit heavier, abt 50g per tyre which is not bad @ all.

Retail on pure grip supposed to be abt R500 where the protections are R700ish. Im really keen on getting the pure grip, LBS apparently getting in tomorrow. Ive had the protections for almost 2years and ive had NO problems! Sold them with a wheelset now I'm looking for replacements. Also been looking @ geax mezcal/seguaru.

So today I saw the Pure grip XKing and RaceKing. Identical to the protection tyres, MASSIVE difference in price, New Protection: R800, Pure Grip: R499.

There is a noticeable difference in the sidewall thickness, the pure grip sidewall feels like maxxis icons.

Pricewise they should be brilliant, not too sure about the sidewall though...

As always late to the party. I have run both the protection tears off nobbs and very slippery on wet rock and wood bridges and after only a couple of rides the sidewalls looks k@k. I have had a couple of sets of the puregrip they sit better haven't lost nobbies and the sidewalls still look like new even after riding it at to low pressure (never checked before I left) plus they are cheap as chips!

Also prefer the puregrip  to the protection.

I've gone off Conti. Their tyres seem to have gotten more "plastic" - difficult to get on to wheels and hard to seat.

Maxxis are my current favourite. Easy peasy on all fronts.
