now if only other world-class cyclists would follow Jan's example. Yes he got "implicated" - ie NO 100% proof - ie nothing more than what LA has been implicated in. but his reaction was to accept the situtaion and retire. his actions have always been those of a modest un-pretentious person. could any of you see Millar or LA or RH or FL getting stuck in to help other (fun rider) cyclists out?

what a legend.

Such a hero and a great example - anyone remember operation puerto?

Jissie, I think he has paid enough now!!!!  Will he for ever be remembered just for this?!?!

Precisely....what do you think Hansis Cronje will be remembered for? His swashbuckling century against England? I think Not!!

btw IT IS A KLEIN BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go look on the website

Hover the mouse over the pic

rotflmao! LOL

Sorry Embarrassed

Klein means 'small' in german. Hover the mouse over the 'small' picture and it tells you that it is a 'small' pic' date=' which you need to click on to make it 'big'.

Jan Ulrich bikes are made by some unnamed company in Italy, no one seems to know who they are.

Klein belongs to Trek, so extremely unlikey that Ulli would ever consider that.

Well Hansie's movie is coming out soon [www.hansiemovie.com] so maybe it will alter people's perceptions/feelings. Maybe Ulrich should consider a movie deal. Any takers on a title for this ?

forgiven yes! but once you have betrayed/defiled the sport you should be banned for life! i.e. Mr.Gibbs should never have been allowed to grace an oval ever again!! Delgado2008-03-17 09:18:39

I'm also a Jan Ulrich fan, but to think that he was innocent of doping would be very nieve, then again, he still hasn't been charged or found guilty, so lets give him the benefit of the doubt and applause him for 5 TDF second places, 1 first and an Olympic gold medal. His achievements far outway many other cyclists.

How many of the greats would ride the Argus with the masses and then still help them when his race was over?

Damn, Damn, Damn

I missed my man.....Cry

Probably just as well. I wonder what he would do if a female suddenly runs up to him and throws herself at him????

Then again, I would have got even a worse time and it would have wasted all of Brokespokes effort....

There's always next yearWink

I think he would have been quite bemused and quite flattered - Big Jan has no ego issues unlike many others.

Guilty or not he has been coming to SA for many years now and everyone who has met him on the road or in person has only had good things to say about Jan.

I'm still afan of the Kaiser

On a lighter note I have been thinking of offering him a ride as my domestique for club and league rides seen as though no one else has made offers!LOL
