Only way of finding out is if Contador should make a statement about the actual crash or if he or another rider should tweet about it.

It won't change that he has crashed and are now more than 6' behind. The chances of him featuring on podium is almost shot unless he does a mad break away early tomorrow and hope they never catch him. The time difference might just let them see him as a "no threat" but that is highly unlikely. Froome, Quintana and Valverde will just makes sure that he stays with in their time difference. :( Ai it is what it is.

Let's hope for small miracles.

Maybe he'll go out tomorrow and do a "Landis" . . . . ;-)

Okay.. so this is the best I could find so far...

Sagan.

This morning I wanted to be in the break with the idea of being able to help in the final Rafal Majka or Michael Rogers to support Alberto Contador. In fact, we ended up on the descent and it was very stressful from the time when Nibali attacked.'Alberto fell, I passed him my bike and ended with the descent, before resuming another for the final climb. I am sorry for him that he has not managed to regain time. "

Aha.. Bert speaks (translated from French)

"I was a victim of a fall, my wheel drove, he explains on arrival. We tried rehabilitate the bike but it did not work, so I had to change bikes and take that of Peter Sagan. I then did my best to make the descent. "

The time accumulated for the Spanish cycling has changed several times and which, alone on the road, had to try to limit the damage. "At the start of the last climb I stopped again for take one of my bike and then I tried to lose as little time as possible. "

Oh and after I watched the last 20km or so..

Good racing. . Also good going by Froome (I am not a fan) but that was good he managed all the attacks really well.. More of this tomorrow please.

This is what I got from a sky rider.

" I've got my climbing legs back. It was disappointing not to be in the front group. Alberto Contador crashed in front of me. I think he maybe hit a rock or something like that - but it can change the whole dynamic of the race."

Richie Porte on ITV4

I think contador broke, not only his pants in that fall, but also his english. Lol

But he should learn from Landis' mistakes; don't spill your water over your head, drink it all to flush your system. :whistling:

Froome survives another day

Not a Contador supporter but i would have preferred to see him lose time the regular way rather than through a crash.

So it turns out this was not Simons first big win of the season!

We thought this name rang a bell and then found this bad boy:

Took top spot at the 99er earlier this year, that kind of pre season warm up is what TDF stage winners need.

Also to note, I was only 3 min behind him on that day, unlike some Mr yellow jersey today :P

Great to see the oke do well today, he was not gritting his teeth that much at the bottom of Vissershoek compared to today. :P
