Yesterday confirmed what I have always thought... Cavendish is a selfish knob!

Here he b*tched and moaned about how Team Sky didn't help him while he was there, but yesterday when all he had to do was lunge for the line to give his team mate the yellow jersey, he basically sat up.

THAT SAID, I'm glad he is a selfish knob, as Spartacus is an absolute legend and I'm delighted to see him in yellow for the 29th time!

Couldn't agree more. Fabian was more then a bike length bike at the chalk and he threw his bike at it while the moaner sat up, thinking of who to blame (probably).

Thoroughly deserved for never say die Fabian, while Martin working so hard can't rely on Cav for 5 seconds of effort. Can't imagine that team being a great place to be today.

Cav gave up ten meters short, his team have up 100m too short. He did 95m of extra work for Tony. If his team wanted yellow they should have gotten him to 200m.

As soon as renshaw pulled over it was griepels.

I have planned my today and tomorrow.. even though I normally only wotk half day I have taken today and tomorrow off. (Re do a little work from home) I have decided I will read up everything I need to read up before the stages start, you know get me prepped before he stages even start. Plus school holidays, so it means I don't have to ride the kids around.

Cav’ sitting up at 10m out is relevant to his 300m sprint which at full throttle is 10 moerse long metres I agree. But, it’s relative to Martin’ effort at around threshold for the last 40kms and sitting up “100m too early”. It doesn’t always work out with fatigue, all day cross winds, in the wet and head wind sprint. I get it. It just didn’t work on the day. It happens.

But sitting up like that 5 metres out just spells so much of…. Aah fook that I’ve lost it. Me me me. No thought of TM position although, granted who would really have those thoughts in the heat of that moment. But yes, the Hub is a tough crowd. Shoot me but his comments afterwards and the usual cry-baby long lip hanging on the floor coming from the Manx-man doesn’t win him any fans.

Also working from home shutting my Outlook and putting Lync on Do-not-disturb and thought I'd get more done. But battling to focus hard enough to get a report done. Should've just gone to the office, finish quicker and then I could've left early.

Reckon my plans will go pear shaped when them Poms walk into the office now now and start responding to emails.

To be honest he's always pulled up if he know's he's blown it. There are loads of races that he's been out of place or just that bit too far back and he doesn't go for 8th or 7th and often will just wheel.

He'll fight to the line if he knows he has a chance. He's paid to win races and 3rd, 4th, 5th doesn't matter to him. They are just a disappointment. I guess he didn't think about the ramifications and having lead from the front didn't know who was where let alone keep an eye on Fabian. A mistake from 300+ out that lasted to the line.

The pressure on Cav' is massive, if he starts and it's flat the world expects him to win so if he loses it's front page. If Griepel starts and loses you won't get more than a paragraph. Cav's performances always get picked to pieces by press, twitter and forums like no one else's.

Sucks badly for Martin. He's such a great rider and such a team player.

Should be an interesting race for Ettixx with so many of the team still unsigned for next year.

Yeah, his attitude never does him any favors, but he does have a point too I guess... ?

I'd also have to admit to never having been in a Tour de France bunch sprint - heck my only bike throw ever was at the Omni-Motion 24hour  :P

Tough to judge, as it's shorter and less hilly than usual Fleche Wallone where I'd think more along the lines of Meintjes... but the easier run to the finish could give the all rounders a better shot at mixing it up, like EBH  ;)

Valverde still surely favourite though with Gilbert sitting the Tour out?
