it's been an ENTIRE month since the last bugle podcast. I'm going to get trevor noah to kick John Oliver's ass for me next

am incredibly SAD that the Bugle is no more.

In it's current form at least. John blerrie Oliver is just too busy with his Tv thingymajig. but they will be relaunching with guest hosts.

at least i still have the back catalogue

If you are even vaguely interested in science then "The Infinite Monkey Cage" is well worth checking out, entertaining, funny and clever

I don't quite know how i missed this one, but Gerald le Kock has been putting out a mega crapload of podcasts, both running and mtb.

actually I do know, it doesn't seem to have had much marketing thrown at it (or i'm not in the old mutual target database). Wonder if it's getting traction, because it's probably not on a shoestring budget (and someone is transcribing it too)?

put this on last evening and it was pretty interesting

Currently listening to Earth Ancients. Is revolves around alternative theories to the worlds history and has different experts giving their ideas on pyramids and atlantis etc etc. While I dont necessarily buy into a lot of what is said, I find the possibilities extremely interesting. If you approach it with an open mind and just consider the possibility that that some of what they say may be true it blows your mind.

Been taking a break from music in my car and have subscribed to a few podcasts

The Moth

How Stuff Works

NPR Ted Talks

NPR Pop Culture Happy Hour

The Nerdist

The moth is superb and keeps me wholly entertained on long drives - people telling true stories to an audience with no notes or aids

Anyone else enjoy the pleasures of podcasts? and which ones?

'no such thing as a fish' is good. I enjoy that

My dad wrote a porno. It’s hysterical. This chaps dad wrote and self published an awful erotic novel. He and two friends read a chapter a week and basically take the piss out of it. NSFW. Proper English humor.

It went viral and the book sales took off. The dad ended up writing follow on’s as a result of his initial literary success which was all due to the podcasts. Up to season 4 now.

Sounds good!

Also gonna start "how did this get made" poking fun plot holes etc at crappy movies. My favourite Phoebe judge introduced it to me this morning.

Oh my word.. I'm 12 minutes in and I had to stop listening because the guy next to meb on the bus is giving me strange looks because I'm literally falling off the chair with laughter. Absolutely superb!

Thanks!
