2nd day back @ work, now in hospital wit a snapped clavicle

Damn that sucks, heal up soon.

Thats not lekker, get better.

Went home yesterday to check on things. Did some work, but got sooo frustrated not being able to do anything with the shattered wrist, that I came back to Kei Mouth. Delegated to my staff. I'll try again Thurs.

I'm 'working from home' which basically just means I delegated to my immediate team and respond to critical emails.

I join the club with a small but irritating cracked rib. At least is was caused whilst ride my bike. Only problem is that I keep tweaking it every time it starts to heal and stop hurting. [emoji30]

So far doesn't look like plates wil be put in. Was kinda hoping for it, clicking a lot during slight movements

They tried the "let's let it heal naturally" story with me the last time I broke my collarbone, after a year of constant issues they landed up putting the plate and screws in.

Nobody wants unnecessary surgery, but, with the 20/20 vision of hindsight, I sure wish they'd done it from the get go.

At least when I did it now it was the same surgeon so he knew about how many issues I'd had previously so there was no debating, he just operated.

Right. I had a sudden hernia last weekend and had to have surgery yesterday. Then the surgeon tells me yesterday that I can't ride for 8 weeks. He clearly doesn't cycle. In 8 weeks, I'll probably have torn my own face off in frustration. I'll give it 2. Max 3.

Good luck, take it easy.

Had hernia last year, and I could only manage lightly cycling after 4 weeks. Once doc had a look inside, he realized the hernia was a lot bigger than initially expected and i ended up being sliced quite nicely.

I completely underestimated the recovery time which made it even more frustrating.

I am almost at week 4 since my last incident and am already climbing the walls so can feel your pain there

My girlfriend fell last weekend and dislocated her AC joint in her shoulder. She had surgery on Friday to repair it. Lots of pain and a long recovery.

I've done one of those. Keep the weight off that arm!

Quick update: about a month has passed after her operation. She is now out of the sling and going for physiotherapy. The shoulder has healed beautifully and she is getting a lot of movement back. She is even allowed to cycle on flat surfaces again.
