Will this set ne sufficient to do lets say 90% of maintenance?

Just make sure the allen keys are decent, as they'll probably be your most used tools. Nothing worse than rounding off the allen keys.

It's a decent starting set, but it's missing a few key pieces and has a few extras you'll only rarely use. No full sized set of allen keys. Working with a multitool is manageable, until you have to remove a 5mm bolt through axle torqued up to 15nm or something with a really long thread. At least there's a full sized pedal wrench.

Torque wrench!

Any advice on a good Torque Wrench with necessary bits/sockets? I've seen a few, but would want the wrench to cover a wide range of torque up to 20nm...

What's your budget?

Most of the cycle branded ones don't go that high. You're likely better off hitting up a dedicated tool shop and getting one from there, if you want a single wrench to cover all bases.

I just have 2 wrenches as pedals/cranks go up to 50nm.

Yea, personally I just buy tools as and when I need them.

Can pretty much do everything on my bike now except pressed bearings/headset. Punches/presses are my next big outlay.

Whatever you get, get the best quality you can, rather get less tools, but better quality tools.

Never go cheap on tools, you will do more damage on bike.

low quality hex and allen keys happily strip the heads, same with cheap screw drivers.

I'm not OCD. As long as it is decent. David i hear you. I have a 2016 sola 4. I will look at what exactly is in the bike parts wise and buy according to that

As the guys mentioned get good hex tools and get good quality tools. I sell the Unior brand of bike tools (superior to other well know brands), bleed kits and CDI torque wrenches to name a few. Currently in the process of finishing of my site that caters exactly for guys who want to do their own maintenance.

Check out: http://www.unior-bike.com

Bleed kits are on the classifieds and sell for R380 per set. Kits for Shimano/Tektro/Magura, Avid/Sram/Formula. They get the job done!

Send me a pm with what you are after.

I have my Fire Extinguisher  tire popper at home I made about a month ago.

(still need to post pics )

Most info is on the cylinder.

On mine is the following.

Tested pressure: 30 Bar.

Working  Pressure: 15 Bar.

I have a nice one with pressure gauge and the "refill" valve (normal schrader valve)  in place. I don't sit around and ponder the pressure in the thing.

I pressurise it with my T-Max Electrical 4x4 compressor pump  from the car battery at home.

But the highest I go at home  is about 8-bar, then I am reaching limit of the pump.

But I have used the Fuel Station/Garage  tyre pumps as well.

Just pressurise till it does not fill anymore,in other words  my vessel and the garage compressor tank is equal in pressure.

Never encountered one that could even reach the 10-bar mark on my gauge.

I recon my "home-made DIY" model  is quite safe as I don'e even reach  a 3rd of the tested pressure.

Finally got some pics  of my DIY "wheel-on-rim-seater"

Got it for free on a scrap yard. Just as it is.

Still has the "filling-valve"  It seems on newer bottles they remove and block it of.

And I upgraded the pipe itself  to proper 8mm  air compressor hose.

I used all pipes and connections in 8mm (truck or earth moving equipment) format instead of the  standard 6mm connection/pipes to get higher airflow.

Works like a bomb!!

Please paint it a different color so nobody tries to use it as a fire extinguisher.

Always heed good medical advice........
