Just a question. What is an average time to finish the event in?

Under 11 hours, you are a very talented athlete and probably don't work for a living.

Under 12 hours, you have put in some serious years of consistent training. You don't have time for much else in your life.

Under 14 hours. A great achievement which takes enormous effort. You probably work full time and have other interests and responsibilities.

Under 17 hours. You are very strong mentally, you don't quit. You know that with more training and focus you can be faster.

Everyone gets the same medal. Very few people ask your time.

Everyone does an Ironman for their own personal reasons. Those who are committed make the start line. Those who start, finish.

Damn, not good news.  I am in the same boat.  Been sick now for 12 days with bronchitis.  2nd set of antibiotics will be finish tomorrow and i still have a tight and sore chest.

Just hoping for the best and taking it easy.

All the best, hope you recover in time

Thx a stack, same to you. I guess it is what it is. No point in getting too worked up about it.

Wind is currently SW. Lets hope it stays there. If it turns Easterly then we in for a tough bike.

Don't mind a strong SW or W wind as long as it doesn't turn east like last year
