And very close for me as well. I am on the other side in Craigavon.

Uranium is used by everybody - its a bit narrow. I rode it plenty when i was in Lonehill as you use that to get to the Cradle.

That is not good. So it wasn't even Cradle or Broad acres area as that is double most of the way.

Does anybody know what exactly happened?

Flipping sad.

How fast do you need to be going to cause that kind of a ding on your car I wonder. I'm sure the driver feels like a wreck, but doesn't change the fact.

Looks like the turn-in from Uranium towards Fourways Gardens. Also not the highest speed allowable place.

RIP buddy, another reminder to be extra flipping safe.

When will the b@stards that have have no regarding for the life of cyclists be prosecuted? In Europe/North America, if you kill a cyclist, you are going to jail unless you have a very good excuse for the accident.

The drivers in Johannesburg have no regard for anyone on the road.. They think they have full right of way and that cyclists should not be on a public carridgeway and treat them as an inconvenience..

Watch joburg drivers drive through busy junctions. They just fly through in their Chelsea tractors and if something happens it's someone else's fault.. Where's if they slowed down a bit and drove for the road conditions a lot of accidents could be avoided..

On news24 a few of the comments are insane saying that cyclists should not be treated as vulnerable Road users..

As I was taught in the UK.. Pedestrians and cyclists have full right of way if driving a car as they are the most vunrable Road users..

Europe is a civilised place, even Eastern Europe is ore civilised than SA.

Face it, your average South African is an aggressive selfish lout who cares little for anyone other than themselves.

How many 13-15 year old teenage girls are roaming the malls while Mommy and daddy are off playing?

Lets not even get into the townships.

Off course these things happen in other countries as well but impatience and lack of respect seem to more prevalent here.

Would not like to hijack this sad thread but feel this is an incorrect statement.

Not sure which European countries you base this on but having grown up there and having visited a fair chunk I would def challenge you on this.
