Also say this security company catches one gang, there are 100 others operating all over. The reality is that you are responsible for your own safety.

Mob arrest the mob hijackers. if they pull knives- mob pepperspray themYou would be placing yourself at significant risk pepper spraying someone with a knife for example if you didn't get a direct hit or if they were on drugs and hardly affected by the pepper spray.

I sat on my arse with a hose running into my face for 10 minutes, my eyes instintively shut themselves and I pulled with both hands but it was impossible to open them. Pepper spray incapacitates properly, but it takes about 5 seconds to kick in full force

If you read my post I referred to drugs and direct hits. For example if the guys covers his eyes or turns his back to you he will not be incapacitated. It is well documented that some people, while high, are almost completely unaffected by pepperspray.
