You're very lucky you have a Bike in your possession!!!!!! I would count my blessings, lower the seatpost and enjoy my dream bike!Or just re-advertise it... seems like the price is fairly achievable EDIT.. oops, I missed out reading a few pages

You have come on to the Hub to fix this mess that Tinus started which is great. However Jared is carrying all the risk in this whole transaction. You are staying there should never have been any risks well unfortunately any transaction taking place over the hub is a risk. Usually the buyer carries that risk. It does not matter what was on the invoice Jared asked Tinus to measure up with a tape measure so blame the bike shop all you want but this could of been avoided had Tinus actually inspected the bicycle before posting it on the hub. Thanks for wrapping the bike up before posting it off, if i ever purchased a bike from someone on the hub I hope they do the same. There is no risk involved in that. I am also sure Jared will do the same before sending the bike back to you and I am pretty sure the bike would be in the same condition you sent it to him in because he didn't actually get to ride the bike he wanted. You received money from Jared and then released the bike so why have you not trusted him him as he trusted you and pay the money into his account Oh my soul! The buyer has just emailed me his banking details for the VERY FIRST TIME a minute ago. He will hopefully come and confirm it. I'll pay him back now and stick the confirmation of payment here. The irony is the buyer and I don't have any problems with each other or with our private arrangement.

Escapee.. Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 If I was OP, I would have given the bike a proper test drive. Dropped the seat etc etc, to see if maybe I can make it work. Perhaps Dr Quinn should maybe look at the bike first before she makes the payment IMHO
