Saw a cyclist laying on the verge with a group of people yesterday and then saw 4 ambulances whilst riding.

Hope everything worked out ok.

Hey everybody, we were doing the single track around the cradle when my friend took a nasty fall just before the circle  by the Lion and Rhino park at around 7:30am.  It was nothing technical but I think he just got it wrong and fell badly, he is an experienced rider.  Waited over an hour for the ambulance.  A big thank you to all who offered help and especially to Doctor Duncan who took control of Andrew until the paramedics took over.  Andrew suffered 9 broken ribs, broken collar bone and a punctured lung.  He was in serious pain as you can imagine.  He will spend the rest of the week in ICU.

Liewe ouers!!!

That takes some doing. However, one can pick up some lekker speed on that last section.

Glad everything turned out relatively ok. The ambulance taking an hour to get there is not good!!!

Rode past there, didn't look good! I thought that because it was a flat and non-technical section that it was maybe caused by riders going in wrong direction on that section.

Speedy recovery!

We saw a few guys riding the wrong way while we waited for the ambulance but they just shrugged us off when we told them it is a one way.  I agree somebody is going to get hurt going the wrong way especially on those blind down hills when you are travelling at speed.

Unless I missed it there is no real signature to indicate you are going the wrong way for those that are.

9 Ribs? Well If you're gonna stack, might as well do it properly eh?

Waited an hour for an ambulance and then 4 came all at once - like busses in England.

Hope your mate recovers quickly.
