I can show you some hills in the south that will make SBR look like a flat route - bring the granny gear and lots of time.

no its not open, I phoned and got thru yesterday, the lady wasn't particularly forthcoming with info, just a solid no.

where did all the animals that were in the reserve go? surely they weren't all poached so quickly. There were tons when I live in Heidelberg in 2013, now I rode past on the road we always used to see them (by the vlei) and there was one.

I lived in h'berg for a year and didn't even ride it once, now I really want to......

Well in all honesty, if you just pitch up who will be there to stop you riding?

Gov cant "guarantee my safety" on my own driveway!

I pitched up about 3 weeks ago hoping to get in for a ride but the uniformed guards (sitting around, doing nothing) were quite firm in their refusal to let me in. And I tried both entrances...

Did you try the standard Obi line? "These are not the cyclists you are looking for.." *waves R20 note.....

I did not as I am an amateur at the bribing business (and virtually everything else in life) but I did consider it.

Gerald can you share which hills you are referring to?

The best I can find riding from Meyerton side is to go into Mulbarton area but there is no real length to the climbs there
