How many miles on a running shoe?

800 km is good iof you ask me.... how much do u weigh?

I've (+/- 79 kg) been using Asic Cumulus and Nimbus for a long time and generally when I get to about 700km I can feel they need to be replaced, start getting little aches in my feet.

The prices here in switz are also ridiculous, this year the Nimbus 17 = Chf 230 - 270 depending where you go. That's R2900 - R3400

Now I buy them from Amazon

Urk thats crazy pricing.

I have an Asics factory store in town and when the new season shoes come out I can get the previous ones for around R600-800 for top end Cumulus and Nimbus.

My thoughts exactly - if the last season's shoes were the "latest-and-the-best" at some point, why would it matter to be one season behind?

Its normally just colours that change so Im happy with the previous season.

Also being able to buy 2 pairs for less than the cost of one new pair makes me a happy bear.

have been running in the 1080 NB for some time.not sure about the milage but the second pair def went bad much faster than the previous pair.switched to HOKA now and am tracking the km to see the difference.shoes have gotten very expensive ,but then everything has.

Running in the same, RABUBI, NB 1080 just V4. Got it when the V5 started coming out. And was starting to wonder just over the weekend how one knows when to replace shoes. Mine still fine at just over 500k's, but want to phase them out gradually and not just switch over to whatever once they're FUBAR.

I also tried the Asics Cumulus and Nimbus... did NOT like that buttery/floaty feel I got with them - which is what I presume other people like! And one of them had a gel pocket right under my big toe that irritated me the moment I put my foot down. Much preferred the lower and firmer ride of the 1080's. Those shoes are the best bit of running gear I've bought as yet! 500k's and not one blister or any other shoe related issue.

Asics GT2000 I get about 800 -900km out of them. Just bought a new pair for R1400....normally buy the new pair around 500 odd k's and then alternate for a while...short runs in the old pair - long runs in the new pair..

tested them in Auckland just before 70.3 at the expo.my sister in law brought me a pair of cliftons last weekend when coming to visit from there.have been running in them for nearly 2 weeks and loving them.will see how long they last.

In my Comrades (3 years ago) days I used Asics Cumulus and New Balance 870. The Asics never lasted me more than 800km, the cushioning was still 100%, but the rubber on the outsole was completely run down.

The New Balance shoes lasted me much longer and now also use them for trail runs. I've bought 3 pairs of the same shoe (pink and yellow, hahahahaa) and alternate them on my runs. I've got more than 1300km on one pair, and other two still going strong!

Been running Asics Gt series for the last 25 years, i reckon i get approx 900km out of a pair.  When they get tired i use them for gym/dog walks then i give them to the first lucky street beggar.

Going to try them for sure, have you used them and can recommend them?

Ordered a pair of Nimbus from Amazon but the supplier has had a delay delivering, 2nd time now had this happen.

Used these guys plenty....may even have shares by now[emoji23][emoji15][emoji15]

I bought. Pair of Merrells off eBay but recon they are fakes.Wont trust just any online dealers anymore[emoji6][emoji15]

by 900km my toes have made such a big hole at the top that they are pretty much worthless. I have now taken to putting duct tape underneath as soon as I see a "toe hole" developing - has saved them a bit by doing that.....the tape lasts anything from 1 to 20 runs lol
