1st race in VA for me. Damn those okes are fast. Juuuust popped off the back up Walkerville hill and that was that... Still happy with 2:43.

Sjoe it was tough up that climb. I was in the red but just managed to hang on.

Awesome race in CL... Got a group of 6 break away up walkerville hill and worked well together all the way home... Managed to win the sprint but Prize giving was a bit of a mess, lots of incorrect results

Don't think I've ever ridden that hard for so long, we were all hurting but just kept doing our turns, was so much fun

The VA main peloton being disqualified for "crossing the white line" is a joke. I spoke to riders from the elite, VB and VC races and all said there was serious 'guttering' onto the wrong side of the road in their lead groups. So just because a cranky cow was having a bad morning in the VAs commissionaire car, only the VAs get penalised.

Additionally, there wasn't a single motorbike marshal from the 20km mark, that would certainly help.Cycling SA, what a bunch of muppets!

Jay B!! What a coincidence, I came in 2nd just behind you. It was one hell of a TTT from the 6 of us and congrats on the win. Nice meeting you today

Un/fortunately, rules are rules, and that particular one is for the sake of safety. Just because some got away with it, doesn't make it right. Just a little bit of EPO is still taking EPO.

It does suck that because of a few breaking the rules, others got penalized, but if an example needs to be made so that it stops happening, then it is what it is...

There'll be a massive outcry when an oncoming car takes the whole peloton down (or up to heaven, where all cyclists go), so it's simple, keep it left of the line...

Okay then they must DQ every group/rider (including elites) that cross a white line in a race! Yes that will make a mockery of local licenced cycling but at least folks like yourself will be happy that the rules are being abided too (as I'm sure you have NEVER broken a law?). And I'll be happy as there is some consistency.

By the way, next time you pop out the VA group and work with a tandem or non-VA, you are actually cheating and by your own definition you're taking a little bit of EPO ;)

Agreed because in fact the breakaway tandem group got DQ'd for sitting behind the VA group. I heard(but haven't confirmed) some ladies got the same treatment for sitting some mens wheels.

Absolutely understood, and I'll take whatever punishment comes my way, right on the chin, and not blame my actions on the tannie in the car.

Indeed I've broken some rules, and the rapping over the knuckles I received has made me more conscious of consequences.

Not arguing with you bud, but really, think about what point you're trying to make here.

That it's ok because, well, 'They also did it...!'

I did not do the race so I have no standing here. I have been scared at times in other races when the whole group ended on the righthand lane. Specifically on blind uphills. It was that excact problem of be very unsafe and stupid or be dropped. I am pro a very strict enforcement policy for all riders in all races. At the same time the jokers that pass on the right of the line and then try to force back when cars come should be DQ too. As long as they are consistent...

Didn't do this race but have seen it many times before. Guttering guys on the wrong side of the road is a dangerous douche move. Racing is racing but we should not put other lives in danger in the process, we need to be at work on the Monday again :)

A few DQs for guys crossing the line and it might stop.

Saw a guy on Twitter moaning becuase he didn't get a warning first... Take responsibility pal.

You have no standing. Is that a pun?[emoji16]

For those that don't get it, Talus is a foot doc.
