And now with that normal freehub compatible 10-42 from one-up...

I'm gonna go 30t/11-40 for now.

maybe if you actually went to enduros youd get some legs and be able to use a semi decent sized chainring  :l

I'd love to see how they fit the 10t sprocket on a shimano freehub.

Only way is to integrate it into the lock ring

If the 10t is integrated into the lock ring then it would be impossible to always line it up with the shift ramps on the next biggest gear and it could also rotate tighter under chain tension ...unless some other wizardry is also included

My entire drivetrain is nearing the end of its life, so upgrading everything to the new XT 11s makes sense to me.

XT over Sram every time.

Dislike!

SRAM shifting kicks XT's ass every day of the week :)

Gave up waiting for the new Shimano 11 - 42t XT Cassette, as I already had all the other SRAM 11speed stuff bit the bullet and bought a XD Driver for my Dirty Flea Hub and a GX 11 - 42t Cassette.

Works flawlessly and I must say I love SRAM Shifting and reliability.

Why? Is the thread start point moving around? This would be unusual since all machined threads that start at a fixed point end at the same point everytime

I was wondering that as well. Given that there's a torque setting on the nut and the surfaces should be clear of grit / obstruction etc it shold end at the same place every time. Unless there's no torque and you just moer it.
