I decided to search for this as we know tubbies can be quite pricey if you have bad luck with puncture...e.g myself having 2 within a kilometer of each other. Google lead me to this page: http://clementcycling.com/strada-lgg-road The tubular is claimed to have a tubeless construction. So have any hubbers used tubular tubeless road tyres before? if not, will you try?
Eugene Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I don't quite understand. I have never heard of tubeless tubulars. You do get tubeless tyres, but they have nothing to do with tubulars. They are used on a tubeless specific rim which is very similar to a clincher. Is this what you are referring to?

I would assume that you can then plug a puncture in your tubbie like you would plug a tubeless mountain bike tyre. Even if you run it without sealant in, the fact that you can repair it roadside, is a great idea. I doubt if sealant will plug it fast enough at the pressures run in a tubbie though. I would imagine it deflating too much too quickly before the sealant can work properly. And no, I haven't used anything like this, but if it works, then I can see the advantage.

Is this what you are referring to?I mailed the guys from clement tyres and they say that their road tubby has no inner tube, hence the tubeless tubular. They said it can be repaired like a normal tubeless tyre. Check the link in the first post.
