Mopkop Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Hi Guys So Ive sold my Fondriest TF 2 frame as I felt it was time for change.Ive still got my flawless 7900 Dura Ace 10speed Groupset and Easton EA90SLX wheels. Ive got the groupset and wheels in the classifieds but I cant get a decent price then I will keep them, No Issues.My question now is, What frame/bicycle do I go for? Complete bikes, I am looking at Ultegra 11 as a minimum but if the approximate R6000 cant be justified then Ill got with 105 Giant TCR ADV R36000 full Ultegra 11Giant Propel ADV 2 R27000 105 11 Giant Propel ADV 1 R33000 Ultegra 11(Limited)http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-in/bikes/model/propel.advanced.1/19021/76870/ Swift Ultravox RS1 R36000 Ultegra 22 EA70SLX wheelsSilverback Scalera 2 R34000 Ultegra 11Silverback Sirelli 2 R33500 Ultegra 11 Framesets, I will then keep my groupset and wheels and just get the frame. Bear in mind an 11speed Ultegra is about R11000 so I could then even go with a frameset and then get the new groupset and then just keep the EA90SLX's 2013 Focus CAYO EVO with Racing 3's wheelset R185002015 Giant Propel ADV pro R220002015 Trek Emonda SL R210002014/2015 Swift Ti R18500 The Fondriest had a harsh ride but It was something I could bear. I didnt like that it felt that way. I want a racing bike thats not going to beat me up. I prefer a slightly more upright position but also not like Jacob straight up. Looks wise its defnetly the CAYO, then the Swift then the Propel. Id like to buy now and not have to worry for atleast the next 2 years. Ill also be looking at getting a deeper wheelset closer to the DC. Advice and reviews are all welcome, maybe Ive forgotten something on the list. ALL help is appreciated! Mopkop

Veebee Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 No expert but isn't the propel the aero frame? So assume that's going to be a hard ride. I bought myself the silverback sireli 2 last Friday, changed from a merida reacto which was aero frame, with 105. components. The ride is alot better and much more comfortable on the silverback, ultegra is much better with shifting and the brakes are world's apart in my opinion.

And the Ultravox is very very close behind Finalising some things, Ill hope fully be on a bike by next weekend. The new blackspade frames are Uber sexy, with the cwc ultegra sale it makes things just that little cheaper. Force 22 or Ultegra 11? Ive always been a shimano fan...Is it time to change to Sram? or do I stick with Shimano?? Thanks for all the replies

Cat2forLife Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Ultegra is very nice and I know the Sram is more expensive, but damn, that Sram shifts like butter and it's so precise. The Shimano is always a little slow compared to the Sram.
eddy Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Why spend all the money on one extra gear ratio ? Spend what you have on as good a frame as you can get and fit your 10 spd Dura Ace.
