Can you post a pic of this?

I haven't seen them anything less than R2.9k in JHB! Clearly I need to shop around some more. Been waiting for one to pop in classifieds for less than R2k (I missed yesterday's one :(), but if I can get a new one at that price...

Got my dropper for R2250.00 through Cajees in Centurion. Maybe give them a try.

I have just replaced my cartridge due to loss of pressure, it was R450 here in the

Cape through my LBS so not sure why your LBS quoted you those prices?

I have mine stealth mounted on my 29er Trance X, fitted it myself...easy peazy!

Great simple value for money dropper!

Anyone else with experience on the cost to replace the cartridge, R450 is a bargain, it would be absolutely amazing if it is true, perhaps Mambats LBS had one lying round he needed to get rid of our just sorted him a deal.

If the going rate is R400-R500 to replace the cartridge incl labour then they are unbeatable posts for the money and also means they are very easy to work on. Only thing you could want is more drop but for most purposes those just wanting to get the saddle well out of the way 100mm is plenty.

Next to the PNP/Makro?

Did you get a Cajees "special" markdown? I was in there on Tuesday and it was priced at R2950. I did pick up a Contact SL stem for R250 though  :whistling: .

I've been running the Giant post for about 6months now on my trance and love it. Its my first dropper so have nothing to compare it too but will never look back. Was debating between a reverb and KS Lev, but decided to give the Giant a try . It was half the price of the others , but no regrets.

Not sure if its a good or bad thing, but I unscrewed the top collar (which has the dust seal), and put a little grease on the shaft, tightened it back up.  Keeps the post running super smooth.

Bought one recently from my LBS for R1995.00 in CT.

Been 100% happy with it, easy to fit and set up. All I have done is to form a cable tie loop through a modified / cut cable housing stop to guide the cable on the around the seat clamp area and allow me to control the direction of the cable loop when in the saddle is in the dropped position.....kind of a knock off on the guide the Reverb droppers use.

These look better than a cable tie, also the guide is removable for when you run it internally:

Action Cycles CT and a courier might be the solution for you cost wise

Not the best pics, but is shows the way the cable is guided.

Ha! I did the same thing... Didn't see the guide on the Reverb but maybe we need to trademark it and sell it on to Giant!

Thats the one! Clearly they made a mistake with me then, coz like I said, 2250. They had to special order it for me though. Maybe just try haggle the guys, usually works with them...

Actually think I scored my black one, new for R1650 odd from the LBS in CT... not telling which one though in case they messed that price up for me. Do remember thinking it was pretty good coin for a dropper.  ;)

That one on that street that is also what you do to a string to make it go around things?

GT saddle of a Giant seatpost on a Spez, gather you don't have a brand affinity.............

I don't do brands ...... only branded clothing I have is a On-One T-Shirt (Shotto RyanPMB) and a older On-One Cap.

Oh, it is not a Spez, it is a Spaz!

I think Hairy is steadily becoming a brand.... ;)

I personally can't wait for his range of chai mugs with sensible information for deluded riders.
