Good to hear you are okay slowbee.

Be safe guys.

Glad you are alive to tell the terrible tale. Take some anti-inflammatories tonight you are going to hurt tomorrow.

tomorrow arrived far faster than I wanted !

Thanks for all the thoughts guys.

The bike is fine, I managed to ride home, although a bit shaky and wobbly and bleeding and flashing a bit. Almost phoned for a ride home - but seeing those okes on the TDF just get up and ride kinda like, hey I can do that too, or not. Sitting is interesting!

Will go for a check up to be sure - and make sure the other oke pays for it. Nothing wrong with the bike, actually it seems to be riding better as my chain is not clicking like it was when I went out for a ride.

Very glad to hear you're OK.

You said pulling up to a robot?

Before I get flamed, I hate the disregard cars have for cyclists and pedestrians, but could he have thought your flashing red lights may have been from the robot and not a cyclist? It would almost make it a little more understandable, but doesn't change the need for motorists to be more alert.

Would a color change for bike lights be worth looking into?

OP - Hope you have a smooth recovery......

Was on my bike the other morning before work when a motorbike with one of those KTM orange headlights approached - at first it looked just like the orange streetlamps further back behind him - then I noticed it was moving....fast.

Gotta be careful with colours. I say stick with flashing red LED. Everybody knows its the back of a bike - so you only have to worry about the drivers that are texting or vrot....or both
