He has his left foot hooked over the saddle, doing a quad stretch. I tried that once and cramped. Thought I was going to die

If I got into that position, and it's a big IF, I'd never get out again without help!

When Terpstra was in that solo break yesterday I noticed how massive the drop from his seat to bars is. I ride with a 12cm drop but his looked closer to like 15cm. Would love to see a copy of his setup. His back was pretty much flat when he was on the hoods. Super aero.

Sometimes I take my energy savings to the next level. When you race 21 days straight, the little efforts add up. That is why I rarely stop to pee, instead opting for “rolling relief.” I decided that if I pee while rolling instead of stopping every time, over the course of the Vuelta, the amount of chasing I save will make a difference. Many riders laugh when they see me rolling while everyone else is stopped, but it doesn’t bother me much. I had a small error the other day, however. The wind picked up, and the entire peloton shifted in my direction, lining up single file. … And some of the guys who slotted in behind me got a bit of a surprise. One of the riders who happened to be in my accidental line of fire was none other than Peter Sagan, and I can tell you he was less than pleased! A few words were shared, but I think it was quite obvious that I had no intention of peeing on the peloton.

A aaaargh, I am missing all the stages this year and there aren't reruns at night... This stage looks incredible. Go Froomey!

It will either be a great stage or a boring one with the Gc guys just doing very little till 3km to go[emoji85]

But added it is the vuelta.. so let's see what the young riders will do.. time to shine boys... go the Cheese.

What is impressive about this tough stage is that it starts at about 1000 metres above sea level.

Then heads up and up, gradually.

GO QUINTANA
