Get a gym / core / body weight / plyometrics programme you can do at home.

e.g. Men's Health had one called the "Abs Programme" that you can do with 2 8 or 10 kg weights at home in a small space.

Or, You can buy Selene Yeager's "Get Fast" which has proper cycling-focused winter training programmes.

20-30mins of body weight / plyometric training a few times a week and you're sorted.

Well I don't know what THE best way is to lose weight, but this how I lost 13.5kg's in the space of 6 months (still in process of getting back in shape):

I cut out all sugar, bread, fizzy drinks, junk food. Started drinking 2L of water a day (a few slices of lemon in the water helps). I was allowed the odd coffee now and then, as long as it had no sugar, and fat free milk. Had a bowl of oats (without sugar and with fat free milk) and 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, had a banana and an apple as a mid morning snack, had a medium portion of Spaghetti Bolognese for lunch, another banana and apple for a late afternoon snack, and then a medium portion of protein (can be any meat, but skinless chicken is recommended, and it's more or less cheaper than other meats), with either low carb veggies or salad for supper.

You can change the diet/meal plan as you wish, as long as you have your medium portion of carbs and protein for breakfast and lunch, and as long as you have your fruit as a snack for in between meals. They reckon that no carbs should be had after 2pm, which is why your supper should consist of protein mostly.

They also say that weight loss is 70 to 80% diet, and the rest is exercise. The exercise I was and still am involved in is quite intense, although I only go to the gym twice a week for those exercises. Of course, the more you exercise, the more weight you will lose. I would say, you should be fine if you have a healthy balance of cardio and weight training (that works the whole body), but I think give yourself a rest day in between.

Edit: I was allowed a cheat day, but as long as it was one cheat meal over the weekend. With a cheat meal, you can eat whatever you like.

Also, green tea helps with burning fat.

Unfortunately, knowing myself, cheat days are out. One 'cheat' meal and it's over for me so I don't even bother (with the cheat meal that is not the 'diet') ..... weak willed maybe but that's how it is, for me at least

I know what you mean. I had to wrestle with myself just to stick to ONE cheat meal during the week. Think I would've lost more weight if I didn't cheat on the diet.

I have lost just over 9kg since 20 July, been doing slender wonder. Also have been doing minimal activities because if an ankle injury. I make myself what I call a power smoothie in the mornings with all kinds of hippie ingriedients... I chow that at 7am, 11am I have an apple, between 2&3pm I lunch on 120g protein & 150g carbless or low carb veg, you can ahve another fruit between lunch and dinner but I save mine for after dinner. I have 120g protein and 150g carbless or low carb veg for dinner at about 7pm and tthen the fruit, usually a clementine or orange before 9pm. No eating after 9pm. I drink about 4-5l of water and about 4 cups of green tea. It is a lekker diet and I'm really feeling good. 5-8kg to go to my goal weight. Can't weight... Hehehe! Lekker man! Good luck!

I was on a similar "diet" plan as what you posted above, went good for 3 months and lost like 8kg, then I started having 1 too many cheat meals and the weight loss just stopped!... Now I started training in a fasted state and its working wonders. In total i'm 12kg down since 1 April.

worst part about serious weight loss is that I need a new wardrobe. haven't been this thin in about 9 years.
