I suppose we dont see ourselves as influencers, as generally those people do what they do for personal benefit, well at least in our eyes.

Our intent is different. We focus outward instead of inward.

Thus making you "good influencers". 👍

Motives and money aside, you two make a very real difference to many MTB riders.

I have done Jonkers after watching your videos, and only because of your videos.  Turns out the confusing signage and lack of signage higher up spoiled the ride for me, but that is due to the facility's maintenance.

So often we see questions posted of "I am visiting the area, which trails do you recommend?"  Your videos allows people to see the trails and figure out which suits their unique level of experience and their appetite for risk.

W&M keep up the GOOD work 👍

okee dokee, we're going down this road.

If one has an opinion and it is respected then anything they say can be considered to be influential.

but the term "influencer" in social media context is anyone who has an online platform and is supported by companies that get promoted on this platform. It can be free merch, actual $$$ or just a way to be associated and then increase the reach.

obviously one can be both.

I would consider you to be influencers ubder the broader term. That is not a bad thing, if you identified as this your main employment then it's really hard to keep it balanced and fair.

ok, thanks for spelling it out. But if you really consider me as a "social media influencer" I'm really not doing it well. but you do make a good point, my wife might stop moaning about me buying all these fancy pricey beers if I told her that I'm an influencer and it's for my followers. Will try that.
