IF you are anything like me, you will also first need to get back on the bike

I'm actually really looking forward to getting back on the bike come June

Couldn't agree more!! I bought a new bike and I still haven't taken it for a ride.

And you guys call yourselves cyclists! You should be ashamed! :whistling:

So my cycling plans for after Comrades: (Just to proof I don't just run ^_^ )

I am doing my 10th (consecutive) 94.7 this year. My plan is a double lapper... The first lap I will have to hold on for dear life to stay with the bunch and the second lap to stop at every single water point and alcohol point.

I will have to spend some serious time on the bike from June onwards - I am thinking of a couple of 200km training rides... just thinking about it makes my bum hurt.

In 2016 I ran more kilometers for the year than what I cycled for the year. So I have my work cut out for me.

Yeah well your strava times show you aren't too shabby when it comes to riding a bike! At least the times I can remember from my training for the Cycle Tour. Good luck with the double laps, I am sure that the second one will be a blast!

Edit: BTW I was joking in my previous post.

No offense taken.

I am ok-ish on the bike. I need to ride more. On Saturday in the Cradle, I missed my bike. So much easier cycling there than running there.

I have done a solid 100km on the bike this year so far

OMTOM - 17 days

Comrades - 9 weeks

:o

Last hard-ish week for me before OMTOM. Not doing Comrades (and probably never will), but will cheer for every athlete from my couch.

Why do you have to post such negative things  :whistling:

Still thought I had lots of time left to train

Thanks for the reminder!!!

So much running still to do, so little time

(especially if you start subtracting the tapering weeks  )
