Thor Buttox Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 So I managed to derail the whole thread. heheheheh Arabsandals........Google knows nothing of this. Some more info?I believe merkintex is what you use to pad out your moose knuckle, as LTG calls it... Gets your Spidey senses tingling. Not very aerodynamically efficient though. And can itch like hell after a long ride.
Eddy Gordo Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 The material you looking for is either spandex or lycra. There are some other options will check for you when I am at work tomorrow

Harryn Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 The Hubsa shirts that @admin had made, feel very smooth and silky. They are Craft.
Yo-Yo Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Try the guys who do the Vermarc custom kit over here. They provide a lot of pro kit to UCI world tour teams. I've struggled to find local manufacturers who do jerseys with the % of Lycra that pro euro kits have and the carbon weave material for the arm / leg bands that are the normal in the peloton. Shiney.... not so much though.

Andrew Steer Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 only thought of this afterwards, that a lycra mix makes so much sense.thanks for all the help guys... and the laughs too You looking for something like this? Yes... more lycra based than the usual Polyester fabrics Also have a new fabric called Radstof, Polyester based, but a bit "thicker" than the usual ones, super soft and wicks like a dream. Used it for my joBerg2c kit - can't recommend it highly enough
L.T.G Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 Right, so... inappropriately hanging zips and in your face moose knuckle aside, I've found out a few things...it seems like materials like (if memory serves as far as spelling is concerned) elastane, elastomer and lycra are used with polyester to give that stretchy, silky feel. Thanks to Andrew from Anatomic I'll be checking out 2 materials they have as well.I rode with a mate yesterday whom had an ASG custom kit , Ftech, and that exactly what I'm looking for... so I'm getting somewhere. Thanks again for the input, both humorous and helpful
