Ha Ha. You genuinely do sound like a miserable individual. Luckily you are quite articulate which makes your essay sound plausible in some way. I know nothing about the person who had a vision to set up the urban JHB race or the company that decided to sponsor it. I do know that given the choice to meet You, author of embittered essay, or the person with the vision to organize the race, I would choose the latter.

I hope Hollard sponsors this race next year so I get to ride it for the first time and I hope you, articulate essay writter with picture of monkey as identity, don't.

Ciao

Whoa there tiger :-)

Sounds like you had a whale of a time getting high on your horse. You should check your facts before you write such bull.

Didn't you smell something fishy when I prefaced the article with "This chap sure didn't hold back"? I guess you don't have such an eagle-eye.

Anyway, I wouldn't pen such a lengthy diatribe. Brevity is the sole of all wit, don't ya know?

By the way, you also missed that I'm a chimp. We're apes, not monkeys.

Sorry China. I got my wires crossed - I think I may have come in confused and a bit hot after too many beers

LOL. I search for 'Juma', read this thread, then I see it's active again (thanks, Paul).

The boards are up (John Vorster Road, Radiokop) and indicate 29 May as the 2016 date.

I was just going to pay now to organise my race calendar but now I'm holding back a bit.

got entered automatically for the 2016 event following the 2015 cancellation.

just got an email saying I'm in.

really enjoyed the 2014 ride (it's definitely not a race...) and looking forward to the 2016 edition.

Rode the Spruit on suday and only saw damage to one bridge, a tree had fallen and was blocking it. Nothing major like the week before the race last year...and there is still lots of time for them to prep and fix.

I did the the first one in 2014, loved every second of it! Even the bottlenecks were fun, met and joked with a lot of cool people. It is an Adventure, not a race...once people realise that they will enjoy it more. I carried over my entry from last year and CANT WAIT!!!

Good luck to anyone doing Lion Man and JUMA....I might be one of them but haven't decided if I really want to do the Nissan Series this year....
