CapeMulti - Beware!

I'm disgusted at how I have been treated as as a new (potential) customer of CapeMutli. To say the least placing an order with the firm was a rude awakening.

I ordered a set of mountain bike wheels from CapeMulti ( their Bid or Buy page) for what seemed like a good price. The order processed fine, but the next morning I was informed that there was no stock of the wheelset -even though the site said 1 unit in stock. A quick call to the local distributor confirmed that there is indeed stock in South Africa, but CapeMulti is not willing to provide the stock?

Their excuse was that the the bid of buy website is wrong - i.e. they don't have stock.

My question is why should the customer suffer if you cannot make your sales channels work and if you advertise a price for something that is clearly in stock why won't you make a plan to get your customer sorted out?

I will most certainly not be supporting this operation in the future.

Strange, I have had nothing but positive dealings with CapeMulti and super accommodating to the point of collecting my component on the same day from their residential address.

So get a refund and buy elsewhere?

I only received good service from Ana. Easy to communicate with and often able to advise on stock promptly and accurately.

But yes. I agree that the website is not a fair representation of what they stock. I have raised this issue with her before. Bid or Buy affiliations can only complicate this further.

I've learned to send stock availability request emails to any website before buying.

And She is very easy on eyes as well.  :whistling: . I bought a Camelback from them a while back, Fast Delivery.

Only reason I could possibly think of should I every contemplate using them again.

It would lessen the pain somewhat.

Remember the Bid or Buy page needs to communicate and be updated from their own systems. An internet outage between BOB and their site is all it takes to get the on-hand wrong etc.

Also consider doing a booking on any of the airline sites and you will see seats available and then only later find out that they have all been sold. That is on their own integrated sites.

It is K@k but it happens on the interweb.
