So are both days ending at Blaauwklippen Estate? Seems like I need to cycle back to Stellies after each day to get back to my car!!! LOL

I think it would make sense to park at Blaauwklippen and cycle to the start, a bit of climb to the Engen, but the downhill and flat to the start.

This makes sense, was thinking the same thing. Just make sure you leave Blaauwklippen early enough haha

Or park at the Engen. Its 3.7km to the start from Engen and 1.5km from Blaauwklippen to Engen.

Don't panic, you will be smsed your seeding and you will get your seeding info when you register. Seeding/ batching is non-negotiable, this is not a race, but you will be signed in when you enter for your batch. Please do not crowd the entrance to the batch, you will all get in safely and in time, but please listen for when your batch is called up (A; B; C; D; E will be the batching breakdown, therefore "E," being the riders who are doing the shortest distance on the day). Normal CSA MTB Rules apply for this event. We will sms you again on Friday evening before Saturdays' start in order to tell you your batch start info.

This is a fun event, it's not a race

from the website

Format:  Individual 2-Day MTB Stage Race

If they are serious about it being an event not a race then maybe they should drop things like timing & results etc

Yeah, I always saw it billed as a race. Then we get that email today, and in the general event briefing video, its a fun event.

Oh well, there isn't much difference between my race pace and my chill bro pace anyway.

Had a blast! Well organised and great vibe overall.

Day 1 pushed me to my limit (long route). Hot and windy, lots of climbing, but rewarded with great trails. Too congested to really enjoy the red route in Jonkers, but after that the field opened up and I got to ride freely for the rest.

Day 2 was probably too easy though (short route)! It was great to revisit the old single track at Botmaskop (hadn't been there for a couple of years, too dangerous)! I wish I had done the long route now, even though it would have destroyed me.

Will be skipping most other XC races next year and just doing this and a couple of others- it really is a cut above the PPA-style events.

Brilliant race (fun ride). My first stage event. Well organised, well marked. Some really cool single track, some nice roads as well just to get some inner peace for awhile. Goodie bag cool. Finish venue great.

I rode well both days, but if there was a Day 3 it would be a loooooong day in the saddle.

Back again next year

Psst ... isn't making that point in large bold font a bit contradictory, PS it can be both you know. A fun race ...  ;)

Fantastic event and race, definitely tops my experience list. Skyfall, Red Line etc were a jol! Top organisation.

Also enjoyed it.. added a few extra kays by not paying attention and following one of the none-riders using the course yesterday... Will teach me to pay attention in future!
