Hope so too[emoji106]

Would like to see him win a few Spring races and a few on TdF.

Guess an Olympic medal is out of the question [emoji20]

Yep. I like to think he will come back strong as ever and win some of the great classics, instead of just a typical finish in the pack ending

Three moments stand out for me:

When he hit the barriers in the 2012 Olympics I was more gutted than seeing the Boks loose to the All Blacks. I knew the Boks would lose but I was hoping Spartacus would make that turn (something inside me was worried all along).

Absolutely destroying Boonen on Die Muur in the 2010 Tour of Flanders.

Outsmarting Vanmarcke on the Velodrome in the Paris Roubaix.

What a man.

Ah that barrier collision was heart breaking.. he had gold in the bag..

Sagan is a coolcat without a doubt, a superstar.

But give the kid time to get his own rack of big monument titles behind his name first before you say he's earned a spot alongside Spartacus. Sorry, he's still many years away from earning that right, and he will be the first to say the same.

There's only one other who's Spartacus peer. Tommeke. These two are the kings of the peloton. No other riders in the pro peloton command more respect, and that most likely goes for the GC mountain goats as well.

Tell us again, sir, how many Paris Roubaix have you won?

Cool factor has nothing to do with monument wins[emoji6] .. added Sagan has one win that Fabulous would have loved to get.. and that is the Road Race world title... kinda feel this year was his best shot at it.

No doubt Boonen and fabulous have an incredible Momuments pedigree. . T will take a very long time for anyone to match their achievements. .but I am going to enjoy watching Sagan try.. there are a lot of youngsters capable of a lot.. but do they have the smarts to do it the way the 2 legends have?

Two two heads of state. Giants among men. Everyone else stands aside when they step up to the start line.

And until they retire, they will remain the kings of pro cycling.

I agree 100%, Sagan will get there, I'm also a huge fan. There's something so special about that kid - not only his talent, but also his attitude. He's different to anyone else in his generation, he's unique.

When he's 35 years old, I can only imagine how huge his status will be by then. If he fulfills his potential he'll be like a god.

But that's 10 years away, and legends take time for the full story to be written.

Spartacus and Tommeke have already written their story, and are already legends. So they have the status of being allowed to stand on the top step alone. Just like the kings who came before them.

Sagan will have his day, without a doubt. And like you say, Gen, I'm also going to enjoy watching him get there :).

There are so many moments that stand out for me.

The most recent one is the 2015 Tour De France where Spartacus, wearing the yellow jersey, fell at 70 km/h and fractured his back in two places (the second time in 1 season), gets up and back onto his bike, and finishes the stage. Because he wants to honour the maillot jaune.

Then there's the 2010 Paris Roubaix, where there was so much hype leading into the race about Spartacus and Tommeke, at the top of their game and both in top form. It was going to be a battle royale. Spartacus broke with 50 km to go and totally surprised everyone, not least Tommeke. Watch this video when the moment happened. At the 50 km sign board, Spartacus slips to the front and then just monsters it. Like he was riding a motorbike. At that same moment, Tommeke was taking a drink near the back of the pack - taken completely by surprise. You also see the moment when Tommeke realises what's happened....
