Lekka! Please do! (I was on the Scott in Wintergreen kit.)

I think I may have been riding with you at a stage, I was in the Lumo cycle nation kit on the black Look.

What do you guys think of the number boards for the bikes? We had the same in the DC and it looked horrible. Here you have all these aero bikes with a number board at the front. These are road bikes for goodness sake! I thought the reason therefore was for the safe storage in bike park at the end of the race (at the DC) but surely they can rather use a sticker option for your seatpost like they do in the 947.

Bad day at the office for me.

Got dropped up helz :cursing:  :cursing:  The sad part is I have gone up there with more power then what I did , must have been the "neutral zone" sprint to helz and the fact that I was at the back.

Anyway +-10 of us and some tandems made a group and had a leka ride and @ +-70 Km % caught us and all hell broke loose.

Because some guys are afraid of the wind they actually ended up riding in the opposite lane (oncoming lane), the sad part was they actually completely blocked the road , was so bad that we had the marshal(car) and bikes had to slow down in the right lane to force guys to move back, Some of the guys actually swore at them and just no way of controlling it.

The oncoming Cars/Trucks had to stop in the yellow lane as there was no place for them to drive, total chaos and the guilty parties just didn't care. I couldn't believe what I was seeing , basically a forced road closure  .

That seems to be the new trend in SA, if you don't get your way, Force a road closure and start swearing at everybody!!

It was a very nice ride, although having donated blood last Monday and too much brandy on Saturday meant I was 30 minutes slower than last year.

What I did like the the new number board for the bikes and the fact that I could start without my start card. Those things need to be done away with all together as it is just another thing that gets lost.

Most difficult part was riding back home to Welgevonden after crossing the finish line.

Just look at the pic above, the guy that came second had his bike board on and Nolan not... Did that make the millisecond difference in the final sprint?

In any case

I was planning to keep my plastic board on the bike so that everyone can admire my awesome seeding... Just like the Epic riders with their Epic stickers..

Gonna start collecting these number boards and putting them on the wall in the garage where all the bike bits are stored! I like them more than the cardboard effort that had the action photo sticker on! Guessing they're more aero than those too...   :whistling:
