[Event] 99er Cycle Tour

I keep hearing about this last climb at the end of the 99er route. I haven't done it before, but as an analogy, how does it compare to suikerbossie climb?

Odendaal is about roughly 70 percent in distance

And slightly steeper

 

The finalè is much more dramatic with Vissershok Rd hilltop just prefacing the final climb described above.

Think the problem is after the Vissershok there is a nice long downhill to the finish area and in your mind & for your legs this race is done, finish & klaar.

 

Then comes the rude sadistic reminder that it's not...

 

For me it's always a nice spinathon up Odendaal with granny as company praying that the cramps will stay away...

Oi, that is just wrong! There is NO Way that vissershok is 3% WTF. 

 

That segment includes the long gradual climb before the actual big climb. The "real climb" is in the last 1/3 of that segment

Problem is for Visserhoek you been hammering for about 8minutes before you get there and the last climb you have just rolled down hill.

Was looking to get other riders into the race, so HTFU is not helpful, unless you pull what some okes did on Sunday.
